The name comes from the Quechua word for “the drunken ones” — loosely meaning “perpetually hungover” — reflecting the playful and unapologetic style of these wines. Stirm focuses on unusual grapes and remote vineyard sites, using organic farming, spontaneous fermentation, minimal sulfur, and no fining or filtration
